Important Changes to Assignment of Medicare Benefits

ENGLISH VERSION 

Medicare has introduced new requirements for bulk-billed services.

As a result, patients who are bulk billed will now be asked to return to reception after their appointment to sign an Assignment of Benefit form.

What does this mean for me? 

• You will be asked to sign a Medicare Assignment of Benefit form.
• The form allows Medicare to pay your rebate directly to the practice for your bulk-billed service.
• This will need to be completed after your consultation.
• The process only takes a minute.

Why is this changing? 

• This is a new Medicare requirement that applies to healthcare providers across Australia.
• It is not a policy change introduced by our practice.
• We are required to comply with Medicare's updated Assignment of Benefit process.

因此，凡接受 Bulk Billing 服务的患者，在就诊结束后需返回前台签署一份 Medicare 付款授权表。

메디케어의 새로운 규정에 따라, 벌크빌링 서비스를 받으시는 환자분들께서는 진료 후 접수처로 다시 방문하셔서 급여 양도 동의서(Assignment of Benefit Form) 에 서명해 주셔야 합니다.

환자분께 어떤 의미가 있나요?

• 메디케어 급여 양도 동의서에 서명해 주셔야 합니다.
• 이 서명은 벌크빌링된 진료 비용에 대한 메디케어 환급금을 병원으로 직접 지급할 수 있도록 하는 절차입니다.
• 해당 절차는 진료가 끝난 후 진행됩니다.
• 서명에는     1분 정도밖에 걸리지 않습니다.

왜 변경되었나요?

• 이는 호주 전역의 의료기관에 적용되는 메디케어의 새로운 요구사항입니다.
• 본 병원에서 자체적으로 시행하는 정책 변경이 아닙니다.
